The Future of Hospitals

Todays brick and mortar hospitals as we know them today may have a short life span as reported by the Wall Street Journal.  They are to costly and low risk patients can be treated outside the hospital.  Some treatment costs are 15 to 25 less in an outpatient setting versus a hospital.  Technology advices will also contribute to less patients admitted to hospitals.

The hospital occupancy rate in 2015 was 62% and falling.  Many studies have shown that the United States has to many hospital beds.

Many Healthcare Systems are developing and investing in aggressive outpatient treatment programs.

Healthcare Consumers should be prepared for shifts in Medical Protocols.
