On May 11, 2017, the Texas Legislature approved Senate Bill 507, which expands the existing law and helps more consumers with surprise bills from hospitals, doctors and other healthcare providers.
The new bill expands the 2009 and 2015 versions to included a lessor bill threshold($500) and will included almost all healthcare providers. The law will help Texas consumers with the out of network issues encounter by many healthcare consumers.
