Study shows consumers are using healthcare less but paying more!!

A recent study by the Healthcare Cost Institute found the following:

Study was from 2012 to 2016; age 65 and less;4 billion claims reviewed

Emergency Room visits increased slightly but cost increased by 31.5%

Inpatient surgeries increased 30% or $10,00 per surgery, despite a 16% decline in number of surgeries

Outpatient surgeries costs increased by 19%

Out of pocket spending has increased every year
